Beard to scalp transplant - Anyone tried this?

My donor scalp is pretty thin but I have a thick beard. Doctor suggested using beard hair for extra density. Has anyone done beard to scalp transplant? I'm worried the texture will be too different. Also concerned about scarring on my face. What was your experience? Would you recommend it?

I had beard hair used for extra density in my crown. The texture is slightly different but not noticeable. The scarring on my face is minimal - just tiny dots that fade over time. Beard hair is great for adding density to areas that need it.

Beard hair is perfect for the crown and mid-scalp. It's thicker and more resistant to DHT. I used 500 beard grafts to add density to my crown and it worked great. The texture difference is actually beneficial in those areas.
