FUE vs FUT - Which is better for 3000 grafts?

I need about 3000 grafts and I'm torn between FUE and FUT. I understand FUT leaves a linear scar but provides more grafts, while FUE has minimal scarring but might damage more follicles. For someone needing 3000 grafts, which method typically gives better results? I'm not too concerned about the scar as I don't plan to wear my hair very short.

For 3000 grafts, I'd go with FUT. You get better graft quality and survival rate. The scar is really not that bad if you keep your hair at #2 or longer. I had FUT for 3200 grafts and very happy. FUE would have required shaving my whole head and potentially damaging my donor area.

I chose FUE for 3000 grafts and no regrets. Yes, it took longer (2 days) but no linear scar and I can wear my hair super short. The key is finding a skilled surgeon who won't over-harvest. My donor looks completely normal 1 year later.
